Support for the development of food industry and processing plants KAP-RD04a-RD04b-3-25

The aim of the Food Industry and Processing Plant Development Support Project is to increase the value of agricultural products, implement technological developments that facilitate market access, and increase the efficiency of food processing companies. In addition, a key goal is to increase energy self-sufficiency, reduce energy costs, and prioritize renewable energy sources.

Candidates:

· has its registered office in Hungary, or has its registered office in the European Economic Area and a branch in Hungary,

• has at least 1 full closed business year prior to submitting the grant application .

However, an enterprise that has a supporting document in the framework of the Food Industry Plant (Complex) Development (VP3-4.2.1-4.2.2.-1-21 and VP3-4.2.1-4.2.2.-2-21) tender for the same implementation location and has not yet implemented the supported investment, as proven by submitting a final payment request at the time of submitting the application for support under this call, may not apply.

nature and extent of support

· The budget is HUF 20 billion.

· The amount of non-refundable support that can be requested is a maximum of HUF 100 million , with a support intensity of 50-70%.

· An advance payment can also be requested in the application, up to a maximum of 50% of the specified grant amount.

Eligible activities

Development or establishment of food processing plants related to activities under TEÁOR classifications 10 and 11. Support may also be provided for the development of plants engaged in honey packaging, wool processing, hemp processing or manure processing. In addition, support may be provided for the processing of animal by-products from the slaughter of healthy animals and activities related to essential oil distillation.

Activities eligible for independent support

• purchase and installation of new machines, equipment, technological systems

• procurement of tools, machines and equipment related to material handling, warehousing and packaging

• procurement of laboratory and quality assurance related tools and equipment

• Procurement of goods transport vehicles directly related to food industry activities (vehicle category N)

• construction, expansion, transformation, modernization, renovation of buildings and structures

Eligible for support under green investments

• improving the thermal properties of buildings (e.g. thermal insulation, replacement of windows and doors)

• modernization of heating, cooling and hot water systems

• modernization of lighting systems

• energy modernization of technological processes, machines, equipment

• installation of technologies utilizing renewable energy sources (e.g. solar panels, heat pumps, biomass, biogas, geothermal energy, solar collectors, wind energy)

Activities that cannot be supported independently

• development of farm infrastructure

• IT developments, hardware and software procurement

• intangible investments (software, licenses, patents, acquisition of know-how)

• project preparation, engineering, design tasks, project management costs

• fulfillment of obligations related to information and publicity

Deadline for submitting applications

The application is under public consultation until August 28, 2025, after which the final call is expected to be published. Applications are planned to be submitted in the following stages.

2. Submission period: October 30, 2025 – November 12, 2025.
